Room Service is Roxette's latest album and it was recorded at Atlantis Studios and Polar Studios in Stockholm, Sweden between January 2000 and January 2001.
The album was released all over the world except for the U.S.A. where Roxette once again did not have any record contract since Edel America Records, Inc. released the greatest hits album Don't Bore Us - Get To The Chorus (U.S. Version) but failed to promote the album sufficiently.
The first single taken from this album was The Centre Of The Heart but it was only released in Europe and Australia. The single was quite successful on the European charts and for a while The Centre Of The Heart was the most played song on radio stations throughout Europe.
The Japanese issue of the CD includes the song Entering Your Heart as a bonus track. This version of the song is slightly different from the version included on the single The Centre Of The Heart.
In South Africa the album was reissued in the fall of 2001 and this time EMI included a special remix CD as a bonus. The remixes are available on various singles around the world but this CD is unique and unavailable anywhere else.
