Description:
Joyride was the first single taken from Roxette's album Joyride and in Sweden the 7'' was released as a limited edition with four different picture sleeves. Joyride was very successful on the charts around the world and it became Roxette's fourth U.S. #1 hit.
The song Come Back (Before You Leave) was not included on the album Joyride but it was later included on the album Tourism.
On the Swedish vinyl single the run-off groove has the following message engraved: "Was it really neccessary to whistle". This phrase is a comment from someone who heard this song for the first time.
In North America (U.S.A. and Canada) a special promotion box for the single was distributed by EMI and it included a promotion CDS, a promotion cassette-single and a promotion video of Joyride. The box was made in the U.S.A. but EMI Canada decided to print a unque front insert for the CDS just to make the Canadian box look different from the U.S. box.
