Hjärtats Trakt / En Samling is a compilation album by Per Gessle including songs previously released on his Swedish solo albums.
EMI released this low price album as a part of a whole series of albums by Swedish artists and the CDs were mainly supposed to be sold at gas stations and convenience stores.
The picture on the front of the cover has never before been used for a record and it was taken during the same photo shoot as the picture used on the box set På Väg, 1982-86. The picture inside the booklet was orginally used on the back of his single Inte Tillsammans, Inte Isär and later also in the booklet for his box set.
